LOST IN TRANSLATION
This looks like an ordinary bilingual road sign in Wales - with the same notice given once in English and once in Welsh.
But it isn’t.
The writers of the English notice didn’t speak Welsh and so they sent an email to ask for a translation. They got a reply, and duly printed the reply.
Unfortunately, the translation of the reply is: “I am not in the office at the moment. Please send me any work for translation”.
So that’s what they have put on the sign!
It was at the junction of Clase Road and Pant-y-Blawd Road in Morriston. They’ve take it down now.
