A TREASURE HUNT IN 5 EASY STEPS
First
- List 6-12 good hiding places.
Second
- Arrange the list so that each location is well away from the one before and the one after.
Third
- Write the clues. Remember: The title of the clue is the location where the clue is placed not the location which the clue leads to.
Fourth
- Put the clues in their places (except that the first clue will simply be handed out to get people started). This is easy, because you have written the location as the title for each clue.
Fifth
- Provide a prize or prizes. Traditionally, there is only one prize, laid in the final location. But it is more fun if there is one prize for every participant, laid in the final location, so everyone wins. Better still, lay a small prize for every participant at every location - for example, small chocolate mini eggs (for an Easter Egg hunt) or other small sweets or chocolate money (for a regular Treasure Hunt).
